Nick Stramek

Nick Sramek is Chairman of the ICTF JPA governing board and also is a member of the Long Beach Board of Harbor Commissioners and the I-710 Executive Committee as an alternate on the Alameda Corridor Transportation Authority's governing board. Previously Mr. Sramek served on the City of Long Beach Planning Commission for seven years and served as Vice-Chairman of the ICTF JPA Board.

Professionally, he is a Senior Project Leader in systems engineering for The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, where he has worked for 25 years, primarily on computer systems for military satellite systems. He is a senior member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, where he chairs the Computer Systems Technical Committee and is also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.

For many years, he has taken an active role in community affairs and efforts to improve West Long Beach neighborhoods, as well as involvement in citywide issues. He is a former President of the West Long Beach Neighborhood Association, founder of the West Long Beach Business Association and serves on the Board of the Westside Neighborhood Clinic, a provider of free or low-cost medical care. He has also served as a member of the Long Beach Police Chief's advisory group on Neighborhood Watch, an executive board member of the Honorary Police Officers Association of Long Beach and a trustee for the Long Beach Police Officers Widows and Orphans Memorial Trust Fund.

Mr. Sramek graduated from Long Beach Polytechnic High School and earned both bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from California State University, Long Beach. With the exception of three years of service in the U.S. Army, He has lived nearly his entire life in the same West Long Beach neighborhood.
